The Dolphin Nautilus CC Supreme is a corded pool robot that cleans the floor, walls and waterline of in-ground pools up to 50 feet long, with Wi-Fi app control and an ultra fine filter in the box. At $1,449 it is solid for Dolphin fans who want app scheduling and no battery to replace, but cordless rivals now offer similar cleaning for less.
What the Dolphin Nautilus CC Supreme is
The Dolphin Nautilus CC Supreme is a robot pool cleaner made by Maytronics, the company behind the Dolphin brand. It sits near the top of the Nautilus line, above the Nautilus CC, CC Plus and CC Pro Maytronics CC Supreme ↗ Maytronics store ↗. Maytronics sells it for $1,449 on its own US store Maytronics CC Supreme ↗ Maytronics store ↗.
It is a corded robot. A cable with an anti tangle swivel runs from the robot to a power supply by the pool, so there is no battery to charge Maytronics CC Supreme ↗. It works on its own, separate from your pool pump, and needs no booster pump Maytronics CC Supreme ↗.
Maytronics rates it for in-ground pools up to 50 feet long, in rectangular, round, free form and kidney shapes Maytronics CC Supreme ↗. It cleans the floor, the walls and the waterline with three active brushes Maytronics CC Supreme ↗. The default cycle is 2.5 hours, with a shorter 1.5 hour option Maytronics CC Supreme ↗. The robot weighs about 24.6 pounds Maytronics CC Supreme ↗.
What it does well
It covers the whole pool. Unlike the cheaper Nautilus CC and CC Plus, which clean the floor and walls only, the CC Supreme also scrubs the waterline Maytronics CC Supreme ↗. That is where the greasy ring tends to build up.
App control is built in. It connects over Wi-Fi to the MyDolphin Plus app, which offers an automation mode, delayed start and a weekly timer Maytronics CC Supreme ↗. Because the robot runs off mains power, you can schedule it as often as you like without waiting for a recharge Maytronics CC Supreme ↗.
Filtration is flexible. It uses a top load cartridge you lift out and rinse without tools, and an ultra fine filter kit comes in the box Maytronics CC Supreme ↗. Maytronics says that upgrade captures particles down to 2 microns Maytronics CC Supreme ↗. Suction is rated at 4,500 gallons per hour Maytronics CC Supreme ↗.
Dolphin has a long track record. Bob Vila named the Nautilus CC Plus, a sibling model, its best overall robot pool cleaner Bob Vila ↗. On Maytronics' store the CC Supreme has a 4.0 rating from 262 reviews, with 76 percent of reviewers recommending it Maytronics CC Supreme ↗.
Where it falls short
The warranty is short for the price. Maytronics lists 1 year on the CC Supreme Maytronics CC Supreme ↗, while it lists 2.5 years on the cheaper Nautilus CC Plus Maytronics CC Plus ↗. Our main pick, the Beatbot AquaSense 2, comes with a 3 year replacement warranty Beatbot AquaSense 2 ↗.
It is corded. You have to manage a cable in the pool, and the page does not state the cable length Maytronics CC Supreme ↗. Many buyers now prefer cordless robots that drop in without a cable.
Some features are missing. There is no full filter indicator and no remote control in the box Maytronics CC Supreme ↗. The page also says nothing about cleaning steps, so do not count on it for stairs or Baja shelves Maytronics CC Supreme ↗.
Price is the biggest issue. At $1,449 it costs well more than the Nautilus CC Plus with Wi-Fi at $849, which lacks waterline cleaning but covers pools up to 40 feet Maytronics CC Supreme ↗. Hands on testing is in progress; we will update this review with results.
