OUR VERDICT

The eufy Omni S2 is eufy's flagship robot vacuum, pairing 30,000 Pa suction with a self cleaning roller mop and a 12 in 1 station that washes with hot water and even freshens the air. It looks capable on paper, but at $1,599.99 it costs more than models with strong independent test results, so most buyers should wait for a sale or for more test data.

What the eufy Omni S2 is

The Omni S2 is a robot vacuum and mop from eufy. eufy rates its suction at 30,000 Pa, or 100 airwatts eufy ↗. It mops with a roller called HydroJet 2.0, which spins at 240 RPM, presses down with 15 newtons of force, and cleans itself as it goes eufy ↗.

The dock is what eufy calls a 12 in 1 UniClean station. It empties the robot, refills its water, washes the roller with hot water, dries it with hot air, collects waste water, dispenses detergent, makes electrolyzed water and detects dirt, with an LCD screen for control eufy ↗. It also has a built in fragrance diffuser that eufy says freshens the room for up to 120 hours eufy ↗.

For navigation it uses 3D ToF sensing, and for obstacles it adds an RGB camera and LED light eufy ↗. eufy says it recognizes more than 200 types of objects and avoids items as low as 0.4 inches eufy ↗. It supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Matter eufy ↗.

What it does well

The mopping hardware is serious. A roller mop keeps rinsing itself during the run, unlike spinning pads that push dirty water around, and eufy says its mop extends 0.59 inches to stay about 5 mm from walls eufy ↗. Electrolyzed water is meant to help with cleaning without extra chemicals eufy ↗.

It aims to avoid tangles. eufy uses what it calls DuoSpiral brushes for hair and a CornerRover side brush arm for edges eufy ↗. That is a good sign for homes with long hair or pets, though we have not seen independent tangle tests.

The station needs little attention. Its 3 liter dust bin stores about 68 days of dust, according to eufy eufy ↗. The clean and dirty water tanks hold 2.5 and 1.8 liters eufy ↗.

It handles rugs and thresholds. eufy says it cleans carpet up to 2 inches high and climbs a single threshold of 1.4 inches or a double layer of 1.6 inches eufy ↗. Matter support means it can work with several smart home systems eufy ↗.

eufy offers a 30 day money back guarantee and free shipping eufy ↗. Hands on testing on our side is in progress, and we will update this review with results.

Where it falls short

It is expensive. At $1,599.99 eufy ↗, it costs about $600 more than our top robot vacuum pick, the Roborock Qrevo Edge 3 Pro, which Vacuum Wars listed at $999.99 Vacuum Wars ↗.

Independent test data is thin. Vacuum Wars' $1,300 to $1,600 list did not include the Omni S2 Vacuum Wars ↗, and Tom's Guide's best robot vacuum list mentioned a different eufy model rather than the S2 Tom's Guide ↗. Without lab results for pickup, mopping and navigation, you are relying on eufy's own claims.

Key specs are missing. eufy's product page does not list runtime or noise levels eufy ↗. It also does not give the warranty length, only a hassle free warranty eufy ↗.

Some numbers conflict. The spec table lists a 1.4 inch single threshold, while the description says it crosses 1.65 inch thresholds eufy ↗. Replacement part prices are not listed on the product page; eufy says to replace accessories when the app reminds you eufy ↗.

The station is tall. It measures 387 by 476 by 670 mm eufy ↗, so measure the spot where it will live.

Pricing and plans

eufy's US store lists the Omni S2 at $1,599.99 eufy ↗. When we checked, the page showed a discount banner but no confirmed sale price eufy ↗. Shipping is free eufy ↗.

There is no subscription. Returns are covered by a 30 day money back guarantee, and eufy promises lifetime customer support eufy ↗. The warranty is described as hassle free, but the term was not stated on the product page eufy ↗.

Plan on ongoing costs for dust bags or filters, roller mops, brushes and detergent. eufy's page did not list prices for these parts when we checked eufy ↗.
