The Airseekers Tron SE is a wire free robot mower that mulches clippings and sells for $1,099 in the US, well below most premium rivals. Bob Vila named it best value after testing, but it needed more help in narrow areas and its mapping was frustrating, so it suits open yards more than tight, fiddly ones.
What the Airseekers Tron SE is
The Tron SE is the entry level model in the Airseekers Tron series of robot lawn mowers. Airseekers describes it as a mower for standard sized yards that focuses on the core jobs of mowing and dealing with clippings, while the pricier Tron adds more precise positioning and more processing power Launch press release ↗.
It needs no perimeter wire Airseekers store ↗. Bob Vila lists it as using RTK plus camera navigation, rated for lawns up to 0.37 acre and slopes up to 65 percent Bob Vila test ↗. The Airseekers US store describes its navigation as camera based with optional RTK Airseekers store ↗.
The Tron line launched in April 2026 Launch press release ↗. Hands on testing is in progress, and we will update this review with our results.
What it does well
Value is the headline. Bob Vila tested seven wire free mowers on a Florida property with thick St. Augustine grass, steep side yards, narrow sections and a large open backyard, and gave the Tron SE its Best Bang for the Buck award Bob Vila test ↗. It scored 5 out of 5 for value, the highest of its category scores Bob Vila test ↗.
It cut well in the open. Testers said it handled the large backyard and thick grass well, and once it was configured, it performed reliably Bob Vila test ↗. Its mowing performance score of 4.5 was its best result after value Bob Vila test ↗.
Clippings are handled differently from most mowers. Airseekers calls its system FlowCut: dual layer blades spin at 3,000 RPM and a vacuum pulls clippings in to mulch them finely before returning them to the lawn Airseekers store ↗ Launch press release ↗. Airseekers claims this mulch is 30 percent smaller than the industry standard, but that is a maker claim, not an independent result Launch press release ↗.
Obstacle handling uses AI vision. Airseekers says the Tron series can identify more than 150 types of objects and detect obstacles around pets and people Launch press release ↗. The SE's camera covers 140 degrees, compared with 300 degrees on the flagship Tron Launch press release ↗. Bob Vila also liked its front wheel design, which helps it turn smoothly Bob Vila test ↗.
Where it falls short
Narrow spaces were its weak point. Bob Vila found it struggled in narrow sections of the yard and sometimes needed more intervention than other models Bob Vila test ↗. Its navigation score was 3.5 out of 5 Bob Vila test ↗.
Setup was not smooth either. Testers called the initial setup and mapping frustrating because of connectivity issues, and it scored 3.5 for setup and mapping Bob Vila test ↗. That contrasts with Airseekers' claim that setup takes under five minutes Launch press release ↗.
The slope rating of 65 percent is good but below our top pick, the Segway Navimow X430, which is rated for 84 percent X430 specs ↗.
Published specs are thin. The pages we could open do not list cutting width, cutting height range, battery size or runtime, so check the manual before you buy if those matter to you Airseekers store ↗ Launch press release ↗.
