AI AND YOUR JOB
Will AI take my job?
For almost everyone, the honest answer is: not the whole job, and not yet. We broke 50 jobs into their 698 core tasks, using the task lists the US Labor Department publishes for each occupation, and checked each one against what shipping AI tools can actually do. AI can do 77 of those tasks today. 247 are still human work.
The average job in our set has 38% of its tasks exposed. 12 of the 50 jobs are high exposure, 35 medium and 3 low. That spread is the real story: the question is never "will AI take jobs", it is "which of my tasks, and what is left".

A plan written for your job, not a template
- Your tasks, sorted. Every core task of your job, with what AI does today, what it only speeds up and what stays yours. Each verdict carries its source.
- The tools, set up. The AI tools actually used in your job, what they cost, and the steps to run them yourself rather than be replaced by them.
- What to do about it. A word for word script for asking for more money or more responsibility, and the roles people in your job move into, with pay and outlook from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
We write it after you buy. You answer a few questions at checkout, we research your job, and the PDF arrives by email within 5 days. Full refund if it does not help, or if we are late.
How we decide what counts as exposed
We do not forecast. Forecasts about AI and work have a poor record, and a number pulled from a model tells you nothing about your Tuesday. Instead we take the core tasks of each job from the Labor Department's O*NET database, then look for published evidence of a shipping product doing that task: vendor documentation, credible reporting, or a study. Every task lands in one of three buckets.
- AI does this today. A product on sale now does the task end to end, with a human check at most.
- AI helps, you check. The tool drafts or speeds it up, but a person still has to decide and sign off.
- Still human. No shipping product does it, usually because it needs judgment, physical presence or accountability.
A job's exposure score counts the first bucket fully and the second at half weight. That is why telemarketers sit at 67 and actuaries at 17, out of 100.
What the pattern looks like across 50 jobs
Three things show up again and again. First, exposure concentrates in jobs built on structured text and numbers moving between systems, not in jobs people call "unskilled". Second, physical work and work that carries legal or professional responsibility sits at the bottom of the list, even when it involves plenty of paperwork. Third, pay is a poor predictor in both directions: some of the most exposed jobs in our set pay well above average.
The useful conclusion is not reassurance or panic. It is that the shape of most jobs changes before the count of them does, and that the people who come out ahead are usually the ones who learned to run the tool that took their worst tasks.
What the official numbers say
Alongside our own task work we show, on every job page, the Bureau of Labor Statistics median pay and ten year outlook for that occupation. It is worth knowing that BLS still projects openings for every job in our set, including the most exposed ones. Those projections are not a promise, and they are slower to move than the tools are, but they are the best public baseline available and they belong next to anything we claim.

Which jobs are safest?
The least exposed job we track is actuaries at 17. We keep a list of the lowest exposure jobs on AI proof jobs.
Is this a prediction?
No. It is a measurement of what AI products can do right now, task by task, with a source on every verdict. We do not publish forecasts.
How often is it updated?
We recheck jobs as tools ship. Every job page shows the date it was last checked, and every verdict links to the evidence it rests on.
